Weekend Roundup - R

Today's Assignment: Starts with R, Favorite, and Red.

Starts with R: ROOSTER starts with R. Sometimes, I would spend the night at Grandma's house. The early morning sound of the rooster's crow meant breakfast would soon be on the table. Grandma didn't serve cold cereal. She served a hearty breakfast of biscuits and gravy, sausage and/or bacon, eggs made to order, and pancakes with homemade syrup. YUM!

Favorite: Of course, my favorite has to be a horse. Meet ROCKET. Shh. He's still sleeping.

Red: This male cardinal certainly meets the RED criteria.

Just Because: Gus loves to bark at RABBITS and we have plenty. Good thing I'm not trying to grow a garden. Although I am going to grow tomatoes in a tub. I miss having a garden, but in Oklahoma there are lots of poisonous snakes. I fear they might hide under the plants.

And Finally: I've saved the best for last. Whiskey is a very photogenic horse, especially when you can see his REFLECTION in the pond.

  2. ...a fabulous collection for "R." A great ROOSTER and breakfast at your Grandma's house sounds like a treat. Sleepy ROCKET is a beauty. That cardinal is as nice as any RED barn! I knew that there was a REASON that I didn't live in Oklahoma, lots of poisonous snakes must be it! Whiskey sure is a very photogenic horse and the REFLECTION is great. Thanks Betty for stopping by, take care and stay safe.

  4. The rooster has beautiful scarlet detailing, a proud looking bird he is! We have lots of cardinals around here, but your profile capture is perfect, his crimson hue set off nicely by that peak on his head - an outstanding capture! Rabbits can be pests - but absolutely adorable pests! Beautiful horses!

  5. Betty now today it would be difficult to pick a favourite but if I had to it probably would be the last image of the beautiful horse and the reflection. Stay save and have a wonderful week ahead.
