This Summer Tanager hasn't come in close enough for a good shot. Since it is a first for me, I'm still excited.
I believe this is a female Baltimore oriole and if so, it is another first for me. Your opinion please.
Where there is a female painted bunting, there must be a male. Waiting impatiently for him to show up.
This tufted titmouse was a little nicer and posed on the fence.

...Betty, you see some feathered friends that I rarely be, thanks.
ReplyDeleteHello, the Tanager and Oriole are beautiful. I hope the male Painted Bunting shows up too. Great photos. Enjoy your day, have a happy new week!
ReplyDeleteThat oriole is amazing, how beautiful Keep well Diane
ReplyDeleteGracious...these are all terrific sightings. Thanks for sharing your link today!
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful birds and I would be beyond thrilled to get a photo like the ones you say aren’t good! I am almost never quick enough to catch the small perching birds.
ReplyDeleteWonderful birds! I keep trying to attract a tanager to my yard with no luck. I've seen a male indigo bunting one time around here, really hope he shows up for you as they are stunning. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Tanager. RED!!!

Nice photos of the tanager, oriole and titmouse. Our Painted Buntings have flown north and I did not see a single male this winter. I did see one Baltimore Oriole here during autumn migration.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed a female Baltimore Oriole. Congratulations on your first sighting - always exciting.
