While there we walked down to the pond...
...to feed the fish and the turtles.
The Random: Later we had a harrowing ride on a golf cart down to the village. One of the tour guides realized she had kept us too long at one of the exhibits. so told us to hop on the cart and she would drive us to the stomp dance demonstration. I think she was practicing to be a race car driver. She kept that jitney at top speed around curves and up and down hills. A Six Flags adventure ride seems tame after that experience. :) We held on for dear life and eventually made it safely to our destination.
We made it in time to watch and learn about the stomp dance.
The Fun: The next day, the kids enjoyed feeding carrots and apples to the horses and the horses enjoyed eating them.

ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
The cultural center is a great place to learn about local history - so many people are ignorant of history and yet we will forget the worst lessons of history if we ignore it...these horses have never met a carrot they didn't like!
