Weekend Critters

It's been raining for days, which has curtailed my critter adventures.

Gus likes to stick close to his people when there is thunder and heavy rain on the roof. Seems he has become a chronic lounger.

Since the weather hasn't cooperated, I'm posting some of my favorite Mockingbird shots.

HELP!!  Can anyone ID this little guy?

  2. Hello, adorable photo of Gus! He looks warm and cozy. Could your bird be a Yellow-rump Warbler. I am just guessing. It is a cute bird. Love the Mocker photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. I also appreciate your nice comment and visit. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week ahead!

  5. One of our cats runs and hides in the closet when she hears thunder .... we all have our hiding places when the sky turns gray!

  7. Shame about the rain betty. I know how you feel. I do like your Mockingbird photos but can't help with that little guy. Could be a pipit.

  9. from the shape only of your little unidentified bird, i would say it's a yellow rumped warbler. i don't see any yellow, which they have, but from the shape and the feather patter i can see, that's my guess. i did not read what the other commenters thought.

    gus has the right idea....

    beautiful shots of the mockingbird!!!

  11. Great shots of a great bird. Northern Mockingbird used to be a real rarity here, but over the past twenty years or so has become more common.
