This week's assignment: Starts with R, Favorite, and Roof.
Starts with R: RAIN starts with R. These poor horses are soaked. I'm not sure why they are standing in front of the house when their loafing shed is a mere 30 yards in front of them. Guess they wanted me to know they were miserable.
Favorite: This is Whiskey, who was sold last year. He was RUNNING down toward the feed truck.
Roof: I took this picture from my seat at Oaklawn Racetrack. Off in the distance is the Hot Springs Mountain Tower.
We rode up to the top of the tower. Below are the ROOFS of several buildings along the main street.

Nice pictures, Betty. I think horses like the bath, washing, effects. But maybe for horses we all them "dumb animals" because they 'don't have sense enough to come in out of the rain.'
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of horses, did you get to watch the Kentucky Derby yesterday? That horse and rider combo was good news that refreshed us who didn't have any bets. And of course the ones who did have some on Rich Strike. And the jockey. owner and trainer. We bought a race horse on a cruise once, low balled the one who hadn't won any on all the daily races before. He was a large wooden horse that we named "It's A Hoot".
That horse won for us, the prize money and all the money placed on bets. About $298 on our $5 and the $15 tha we paid for him. Mrs. Jim was the jockey, the horses moved (ran??) With the rolls of the dice.

Hi Betty, my favorite this week, would be Whiskey. He's beautiful. The other three, look cold. I can see the rain coming down on a slant, must've been quite windy. Love all your pictures. Have a nice week.
