Weekend Roundup - B

Today's assignment is B: Starts with B, Favorite, and Black.

Starts with B: An Indigo Bunting starts with B. This pic was taken in May, but he and the Mrs. are still hanging around. He sure has a pretty song to wake up to. And bonus, he's blue.

Favorite: My favorite always seems to be a horse photo, so here's my favorite this week. Two mamas and a baby.

Black: How about a baby goat all dressed in black? He sure is cute!

Happy Weekend!

Combination Sunday

I'm multitasking this morning. I've been preoccupied with Hubs. He had pneumonia and has been in the hospital. Fortunately, he is out and much better.

I drove by to check on the mamas and look what I found. A baby! Isn't she cute?

Then there is this little guy, equally as cute. I tried to get a pic of the one laying down when he lifted his head, but my finger wasn't quick enough. He was enjoying the warm sunshine. The Mamas were on alert.

The Blue Grosbeaks are back. I saw this guy a couple of days ago.

I found a red barn. They are few and far between around here.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm getting ready to go to Illinois for my grandson's high school graduation, so will be missing for a while.

Random Monday

The Good: The evening sun gives these horses the appearance of being clothed in velvet.

The Random: Bella enjoying a cool breeze after a day of heat.

The Fun: Not sure I would call this fun on a day as hot as this one, but this guy seemed to be enjoying himself. He waved and smiled as he rode by.

Horse Critters

Sleepy found a particularly tasty spot of grass in the far corner of the pasture. As he was chewing a strange sound reached his ears. His head shot up. "Bo, did you hear something?" Bo continued grazing. "I think it was that new food fella calling us up to the round pen." All chewing stopped so he could hear more clearly. "Yes! That's him. Come on! I bet he wants to give us a treat."

Sleepy took off, barely missing Bo as he charged past.

Bo, Dylan, and Little Bill were not far behind.

Sure enough, the new food man was passing out treats.

Life is good.
