This week's assignment: Starts with J, Favorite, and Juxtaposed.
Starts with J: JAMBALAYA starts with J. It is one of my favorite foods, but this restaurant sure served it up in a unique way.
Favorite: Okay, so I had to post this favorite picture of JUBE from a couple of years ago.
Juxtaposed: Now Tom is trying to trip us up during this round of Weekend Roundup, and this was an especially tough one. I kind of knew what JUXTAPOSED meant, but to be sure I picked the right picture to post, I researched. This is what I found: Put two objects next to each other, side-by-side, to emphasize their contrast. An art exhibit might have the paintings of one period JUXTAPOSED with those from another to emphasize how different the two periods were.
After researching, a light bulb went off! I have the perfect shot, I thought. It's a photo from last summer when Stonewall, Oklahoma got a new water tower. Aced it!
Have a wonderful weekend!

That's great, Happy weekend :)
ReplyDeleteLove how you pulled so many fun J moments together. Love the way the sunlight hits the horse’s mane and tail.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had jambalaya since I left LA over 50 years ago! Life wouldn't be the same without working daily on a jigsaw puzzle.
ReplyDelete...Betty, that JAMBALAYA looks great. JUBE, the JIGSAW puzzle and of coarse the JUXTAPOSED rounded out your wonderful post, thanks!
ReplyDeleteBetty, I'd like to check your JAMBALAYA. Does it have crawfish? We have an Orleans restaurant here in Katy, Texas and tomorrow after church our Bible class will eat there, 1st Sunday. I plan to have two nice pieces of fried catfish and a small bowl of selfish gumbo. It mostly has crawfish and smallish shrimp. Yummy!!
ReplyDeleteBetty I agree this was a difficult word and then photo to find. However it got us all thinking overtime. Good memory find for it. Love the horse shot. i hope you enjoy the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good week, Betty! Your juxtaposed photo is awesome! I had a little hard time finding something, but it worked, I had to search the word first! Dawn
ReplyDeleteA jigsaw puzzle is fun.
