Welcome to The Crow's Nest, formerly Rubbish by Roan. Come on in, sit down, stay a while, and if you have time please leave a comment. Betty is a fiction writer and author of two novels, Down Riverton Road and Blackthorne Cove, both romantic suspense novels, and three books of short stories titled The Apple Tree, Stranger on the Shore, and My Life in Shorts. She has also published several short stories in compilation books, including Not Your Mother’s Book on Being a Parent, Ann’s Cooking from Scratch, Creations 2019, Creations 2020 - 2021 - 2022 - 2023 and 2024. Betty grew up on a grain farm near Toledo, Illinois. She lived most of her adult life in the Dallas, Texas area, except for time spent in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Oklahoma. Betty is an amateur nature photographer and enjoys traveling the back roads, looking for birds and other animals. She currently lives in Illinois with her husband, Don, and best dog, Gus.
